Position OverviewNext Meters is seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Technical Product Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact when customers or in-the-field technicians have questions about Next Meters products or software. This role is focused on analyzing complex technical challenges to uncover underlying problems and deliver clear, effective solutions. Issues are carefully tracked and documented to ensure each is resolved, and the specialist is expected to utilize available tools and go the extra mile to make sure customers are taken care of. After becoming proficient with the Next Meters system, the specialist will help conduct training for new clients as they learn how the system works, and will contribute to creating easy-to-understand documentation and training material. Excellent writing skills are required. Occasional travel within the US or Canada may be required depending on business needs.



Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Technical SupportServe as the first point of contact for customers and in-the-field technicians with questions about Next Meters products or software.



Effectively analyze complex technical challenges to discover underlying problems and find solutions.



Analyze and troubleshoot complicated software and electronics issues.



Explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users.



Issue Tracking & DocumentationCarefully track and document support issues to ensure each one is resolved.



Utilize available tools to manage and follow up on open issues.



Create and maintain easy-to-understand documentation and training material.



Training & Client OnboardingHelp conduct training for new clients as they learn how the Next Meters system works, after becoming proficient with the platform.



Support the Product Support Team in developing clear, effective training resources.



Collaboration & Time ManagementWork on projects both independently and as part of a team.



Effectively manage time and tasks across multiple open support cases.



Travel occasionally within the US or Canada as business needs require.



Qualifications & ExperienceExperience and EducationPrevious technical experience required.



Customer service skills.



High School Diploma or equivalent required.



Technical & Communication CapabilitiesGood working knowledge of networking, hardware, and software.



Proficient with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



Fluent in English required; fluent in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
