IT Support Specialist - II

Job Description

The IT Support Specialist II is responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming issues related to Woodcraft's computer systems, hardware or software. Essential Functions of the
Job:
Provide second-level support for hardware, software, and network issues. Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems escalated from Level I support. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals. Assist with the deployment and management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems. Document and track issues using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up. Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and improve IT processes and procedures. Conduct training sessions for end-users on new technologies and best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems. Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required. First response IT Ticket Coordination and Management/Assignment.
Job Specific Competencies:
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues. Proficiency in managing and maintaining operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux). Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Excellent communication skills. Strong commitment to providing excellent support and service to end-users. Exceptional organizing and time-management skills. Capability to work effectively with other IT team members and departments. Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides. Prioritize and assign IT Tickets.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3-4 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common software applications. Experience with network troubleshooting and basic network administration. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus. This is a fully on-site position.
