PARADISE

VALLEY, Arizona Posted in 10 days ago.

Type:

full-time Cloud Engineer (AWS) | Contract to Hire |

Hybrid Locations:

Onsite 2-3 days a week in either White Plains, NY; Charleston, SC; or Scottsdale, AZ Conversion salary: $120,000 with some flexibility

Duration :

Contract to hire The role starts as a contract with the goal of converting to a full-time position. Full-time candidates from Day 1 will be considered though, so don't let that stop you from applying if it is your requirement. We're working with an established company that's growing its cloud engineering team and taking on new work around APIs and integrations. They're looking for a hands-on AWS engineer who likes building things and figuring out why they broke. This isn't a traditional systems administration role. You'll build and support cloud solutions in AWS, work closely with application and integration teams, and help turn architecture standards into automated, repeatable setups the rest of the organization can rely on. When something goes wrong, you'll be one of the people who digs in across both the application and the infrastructure to find the real cause. What you'll need Strong hands-on AWS experience, especially with Lambda A solid understanding of APIs and REST integration patterns Comfort with Infrastructure as Code. Terraform familiarity is plenty, since the team already has established stacks. Scripting or programming experience, ideally Python Strong troubleshooting skills across applications and cloud infrastructure Real comfort using AI coding and productivity tools like Copilot or ChatGPT. You'll have full access to them, and the team wants someone who knows how to get good results, not just ask a question. Nice to have AWS SAM and CloudFormation. They're the team's main pattern for building APIs, but strong engineers can pick them up on the job. CI/CD with GitHub Actions Containers and ECS Databases such as PostgreSQL or DynamoDB This team puts a lot of weight on how people work together. They want someone who's collaborative, open to feedback, and easy to work with. If you're technically solid and enjoy learning from the people around you, you'll fit right in.
