Video About This Opening We're hiring two Senior Firmware Engineers for our SSD controller firmware team, supporting a large Semiconductor Manufacturing and Technology Services client. Each role focuses on a different part of the SSD firmware stack — please review both tracks below and indicate which one(s) match your background when you apply. Track A — Flash Translation Layer (FTL)
3+ years in SSD controller/FTL development Strong C/C++ and data structures Hands-on with FTL algorithms: GC, wear leveling, bad block management, metadata handling, NAND error management
JTAG/ICE
debugging experience Understanding of NAND flash, PCIe/NVMe or SATA, power-loss protection/recovery Track B — Protocol/Firmware Engineering (FE)
Focus:
NVMe protocol stack, PCIe Gen5, SMBus/I3
C Must-Haves:
3+ years in SSD controller/firmware development, strong NVMe protocol stack knowledge Strong C/C++ and data structures (embedded firmware) Hands-on with NVMe command processing, Submission/Completion Queues, PCIe Gen5 Strong SMBus and/or I3C protocol experience Firmware debugging/validation using JTAG/ICE, protocol analyzers, logic analyzers Shared Requirements (Both Tracks): Master's degree in EE, CE, CS, or related field 3+ years software/firmware applications engineering 3+ years SSD controller/firmware architecture experience Git or similar version control Strong communication skills; able to work independently Preferred (Both Tracks): Experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, bus protocol analyzers Linux system debugging Mandarin fluency a plus
