The role is centered on three capabilities: AS400 WMS, EDI/integration, and warehouse process knowledge. Manhattan Scale background is preferred. This position will be hybrid. Must live local to Whittier, CA. The ideal candidate will have an IT Integration and Design background for WMS Systems for Warehouse Management. Our current ecosystem includes AS400-based warehouse applications, ANSI X12 EDI, AS2, SFTP/FTP, Microsoft BizTalk, customer and carrier integrations, and related warehouse systems. The company will implement Manhattan WMS, this person will preserve stability in the legacy environment, document current-state business rules and dependencies, and support safe customer-by-customer migration. This is a hands-on ownership role. It is not an EDI monitoring position and it is not primarily a vendor-management role. The successful candidate should be able to trace a failed transaction from the trading partner through the integration layer into the WMS, understand the warehouse operation affected, determine root cause, and drive the issue to resolution. What You'll Own 1. Legacy
AS400 WMS
Serve as the primary technology owner/support lead for the existing AS400 WMS and related warehouse applications. Troubleshoot production issues involving receiving, inventory, order processing, allocation, picking, packing, shipping, and related warehouse transactions. Understand AS400 jobs, programs, files/tables, batch processes, interface points, and customer-specific business rules well enough to diagnose issues and work effectively with RPG/IBM i development resources. Identify stuck, failed, duplicate, or incomplete WMS transactions and determine corrective action. Document legacy logic, dependencies, batch schedules, interfaces, and operating procedures that currently exist as tribal knowledge. Support changes to the legacy WMS as customers, processes, and integrations evolve during the Manhattan transition. 2. EDI & Trading Partner Integrations Own end-to-end support of customer and trading-partner EDI flows, including inbound and outbound transaction troubleshooting. Maintain and support
ANSI X12
mappings, transformation rules, acknowledgements, error handling, and reconciliation. Support AS2, SFTP, and FTP connectivity and work directly with customers and vendors when communication or transaction issues occur. Investigate missing, duplicate, rejected, delayed, or out-of-sequence transactions and implement permanent corrective actions. Support onboarding of new customers and trading partners, including connectivity, mapping, testing, and production readiness. Maintain clear documentation of transaction sets, maps, business rules, communication methods, and system dependencies. 3. Warehouse Process Support Understand how system transactions connect to physical warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory control, allocation, wave/release, picking, packing, shipping, parcel, and loading. Work directly with warehouse operations to translate floor issues into system or integration root causes. Understand 3PL-specific customer requirements such as customer-specific workflows, retail compliance, UCC-128/SSCC labels, routing requirements, SLAs, and inventory ownership. Assess the business impact of technical failures—for example, how a failed 945 affects shipment confirmation, customer visibility, invoicing, or compliance. 4. BizTalk or similar tool for integration Understand and support existing Microsoft BizTalk interfaces, maps, routing logic, receive locations, send ports, and suspended-message handling. Trace transactions across Trading Partner →
AS2/SFTP
→ EDI Mapping → BizTalk / Integration Layer →

→ Warehouse Process. Coordinate mapping and interface changes and improve monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation controls. Reduce recurring production failures and unnecessary manual intervention. 5. Support the AS400-to-Manhattan Transition Document the AS400 processes and integrations that will be replaced, retained, modified, or retired as Manhattan WMS is implemented. Identify upstream and downstream dependencies and provide current-state business-process knowledge to the Manhattan implementation team. Participate in solution-design reviews, data mapping, SIT/UAT, mock cutover, production cutover, and hypercare. Support coexistence of legacy AS400/BizTalk and Manhattan environments during phased customer migrations. Develop reconciliation controls to ensure transactions are routed to the correct WMS during transition. Assist with legacy decommissioning once customers and facilities have successfully migrated. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience supporting WMS, warehouse systems, EDI, enterprise integration, or supply-chain applications. Strong hands-on experience with

i-based applications, integrations, or warehouse systems. Strong

knowledge and production troubleshooting experience. Experience with

mapping, and trading-partner connectivity. Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution-center business processes. Ability to trace transactions across multiple systems and determine both technical root cause and warehouse business impact. Experience supporting business-critical production systems and resolving high-priority incidents independently. Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with warehouse operations, customers, vendors, and technical teams. Ability to document legacy processes, interfaces, dependencies, and support procedures clearly. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft BizTalk experience. Manhattan WMS or Manhattan Active experience. Experience in a 3PL, retail, wholesale, or distribution environment. REST API, JSON, XML, or web-services experience. RPG familiarity. Hands-on RPG coding is helpful but not required.
