The Opportunity The Assistant Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting the engineering, administration, and modernization of enterprise end-user computing and desktop virtualization platforms across MetLife's global Digital Workplace organization. This role contributes to delivering secure, scalable, and reliable workplace technology services that enable employee productivity and support MetLife's ongoing cloud transformation initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic modernization programs, including Windows 365 Cloud PC migration, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) adoption, and global operating model transformation, while building hands-on experience with leading cloud, virtualization, automation, and end-user computing technologies in a large-scale global enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Support the engineering, administration, and operational support of enterprise desktop virtualization and end-user computing platforms, including Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix, and endpoint management technologies. Assist with Cloud PC migration, AVD adoption, platform upgrades, patch management, and technology lifecycle activities supporting MetLife's Digital Workplace strategy. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, virtualization, and endpoint-related issues to maintain platform stability, performance, and user experience. Support Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related endpoint management and security technologies. Assist in developing and implementing automation and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, streamline support processes, enhance platform management, and support digital workplace innovation initiatives. Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and vendor teams to deliver infrastructure projects, support global operating model alignment, and contribute to technology modernization efforts. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles while participating in incident, problem, and change management activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, desktop engineering, virtualization, cloud, or end-user computing technologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Azure, and endpoint management technologies, with exposure to Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, or similar virtualization platforms. Experience with PowerShell, automation, AI-enabled technologies, and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to support infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, security, and project teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise-scale virtualization, endpoint management, cloud infrastructure, or Digital Workplace platforms. Exposure to Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix Cloud, Nexthink, AI-powered operational tools, or related end-user computing technologies. Experience participating in Agile delivery teams, Scrum ceremonies, automation initiatives, or platform modernization projects. Microsoft, Azure, Citrix, Scrum, or other infrastructure-related certifications are a plus.
Location Expectation:
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $70,000
