Summary:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable systems across on-premises, virtual, and cloud environments while driving infrastructure improvements and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Windows and Linux administration, virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure. Manage Windows and Linux server environments to ensure performance, security, and availability. Support hybrid cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and on-premises technologies. Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix. Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies. Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, identity management, SSO, and MFA. Apply security best practices including system hardening, patch management, monitoring, and access controls. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide advanced technical support. Lead infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, upgrades, and technology deployments. Create and maintain technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar virtualization platforms. Hands-on experience supporting AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments. Proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management. Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
