Position Overview:
Enflite, a Georgetown, Texas based aerospace company specializing in aircraft cabin mechanisms and galley appliances, is seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of embedded firmware integrated into VIP aircraft interiors. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, manufacturing, certification, and quality) to ensure products meet industry safety and performance standards. This role offers hands-on involvement across the full product lifecycle from concept and design through certification, production, and in-service support. Essential Functions Contribute to the design and development of embedded firmware for aircraft interior products Develop and maintain C/C++ software for microcontroller-based systems Support integration of firmware with electrical and mechanical assemblies Implement communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS485, and CAN Assist in verification, environmental, lifecycle, and compliance testing Create and maintain software documentation, test procedures, and test reports Troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues during development and production Support manufacturing teams with programming, testing, and production issues Participate in code reviews and follow established development processes Support customer/vendor interactions through phone calls or face-to-face meetings Qualifications Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required Excellent communication, both written and verbal Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Basic knowledge of: Embedded C/C++ programming Microcontrollers and embedded systems Digital communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) Electrical schematics and component datasheets Electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
Education, Certifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline 0-2 years of experience
