#90363 Job Description Our DoD/Aerospace Client is looking to fill a Systems Engineer position supporting advanced space payloads and avionics. This role will contribute to space-based systems incorporating digital signal processing, hardware, and software while supporting systems engineering, development, integration, and test activities.

Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; U.S. citizenship required Position Overview As the Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting the development of advanced space payloads and avionics, including space-based systems that incorporate digital signal processing algorithms implemented in hardware and software. You will apply systems engineering concepts, requirements management, system modeling, and technical analysis to complex systems. The role may involve digital signal processing algorithm development, statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements, space payload design and integration, hardware prototype development, and hardware/software/firmware development environments. Table:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field with 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience Understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards Understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools Ability to quickly grasp and apply new technical information and manage increasing levels of responsibility and complexity Ability to work effectively in collaborative, team-oriented environments Commitment to ongoing professional development Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information U.S. citizenship is required
What Sets You Apart:
Experience developing digital signal processing algorithms for statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements using techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory Working knowledge of MATLAB for digital signal processing, including related toolboxes Background in Radar Processing, RF effects processing/mitigation, Monte Carlo analysis, or Phased Array/Beam Forming Experience with Python Experience with SmallSat and CubeSat development Experience with hardware prototype development, FlatSat, hardware integration, hardware-in-the-loop systems integration, and testing Electrical Engineering and/or Systems Engineering experience, particularly with a communications or digital signal processing focus Experience with Agile hardware, software, or firmware development Experience with DevOps and CI/CD Experience with Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Experience with SysML, MagicDraw, and Cameo Experience with space payload design, development, integration, or test (I&T) Experience identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
