Joint Security Operations Center (JSOC) Hybrid Operator/Analyst

Job Description

About the role: The JSOC Hybrid Operator/Analyst supports a 24/7 intelligence and operations environment, responsible for identifying, researching, and reporting on events and conditions that are impactful or potentially impactful to the client's properties, assets, and reputation.
The role is intelligence-forward:
the JSOC Hybrid Operator/Analyst conducts continuous open-source (OSINT) monitoring across news media, social media, government advisories, and commercial threat feeds to detect emerging risks — including crime trends, civil unrest, severe weather and natural disasters, travel disruptions, and online or reputational threats — corroborates information across sources, applies established escalation thresholds, and produces concise written alerts, situational reports, and travel advisories for operational and executive audiences. In parallel, the JSOC Hybrid Operator/Analyst monitors security information streams including emails, phone calls, alarms, camera systems, and access control technologies. Additionally, the operator is responsible for investigating alarms and dispatching incident response via radio and telephone, documents all findings in the incident management system, and provides general assistance to executives, client employees, vendors, and guests. In this role, your responsibilities will include the following: Conduct monitoring functions on a wide range of issues pertaining to global security, such as petty and violent crime trends, disruptive protests, weather conditions, natural disasters, travel issues, reputational concerns, and socio-economic dynamics
Principal & Asset Tracking:
Utilize GPS, aviation tracking (FlightRadar, Aerotracker), and maritime tracking (Vessel Finder) to monitor the real-time travel status and safety of designated principals and assets Engage in proactive efforts to mitigate risk and inform field personnel of operational concerns in advance Investigate alarms and respond by sending patrol or alerting emergency services as needed. Coordinate response by distribution of advisories and other communications Follow procedures for case managing a variety of issues, from minor incidents handled at the local level to global crises Research and validate reporting from multiple sources, corroborating information and assessing source reliability before escalation Produce concise written intelligence products — flash alerts, daily situational reports, travel advisories, and post-incident summaries — tailored to operational and executive audiences Conduct pre-travel and event-based risk research, providing country, city, and venue-level threat assessments to support employee travel and offsite activity Support online threat investigations, including monitoring for threatening communications, doxxing, and reputational or brand-related concerns directed at the client or its personnel Maintain and update geopolitical, criminal, and civil unrest tracking for areas of operational interest, including plotting incidents on mapping and geospatial tools Log all intelligence findings, incidents, and dispositions accurately in the incident management/case management system to support trend analysis and reporting Perform other related duties as required As a candidate, you must have: High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience 2-3 years of corporate security or
GSOC/JSOC
environment experience Proficiency in PC and iOS hardware and software including word processing, data analysis, presentation, and mapping programs General knowledge of security systems including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, and CCTV Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service Have flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team when needed Must complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as client-requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted Demonstrated ability to conduct open-source research using search engines, social media platforms, and public records, and to distinguish credible from unreliable sourcing Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information clearly, accurately, and under time pressure (BLUF-style writing preferred) Working knowledge of geographic literacy and mapping tools (Google Earth, ArcGIS, or similar) sufficient to plot and interpret incident locations Sound judgment in determining what information warrants escalation versus routine logging Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive information A strong foundation in security operations with either (A) Entry level intelligence knowledge, an understanding of online threat investigations and risk analysis OR (B) a high aptitude and eagerness to learn OSINT workflows, Boolean logic, and risk analysis Preferred qualifications: Prior experience with the specific tools in our tech stack: Ontic, AlertMedia, AmbientAI, ExacqVision, Lenel S2, or Outtake. Intelligence Investigation Experience (OSINT, Booleans, protective intelligence in a corporate, military, government, nonprofit environment) Associate or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, International Relations, Political Science, Intelligence Studies, Homeland Security, or a related field Strong familiarity and experience with all stages of the intelligence cycle (direction, collection, processing, analysis, dissemination) Experience with structured analytic techniques or writing finished intelligence products in an academic, military, or professional setting Working proficiency in a second language Military, law enforcement, or government intelligence background (all-source, SIGINT, HUMINT) Familiarity with social media monitoring and geolocation verification techniques Experience leveraging AI tools to assess the reliability, bias, and accuracy of data and intelligence outputs.
