Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Security Manager to lead our organization's cybersecurity initiatives and safeguard our digital assets. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security strategies aligned with industry standards. Your expertise will ensure our IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and network systems remain resilient against evolving threats. As a proactive leader, you will foster a security-conscious culture across teams while managing compliance programs and incident response protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain operational integrity. Duties Design, implement, and maintain system security plans that align with regulatory frameworks . Lead security risk assessments and vulnerability management efforts across IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SAN, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), and virtualization environments (VMware vSphere). Oversee network security measures including firewall management (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS deployment, VPN configurations (IPsec), and network protocols to ensure robust protection against cyber threats. Manage security policy implementation, governance, risk management (GRC) software utilization, and compliance programs. Conduct threat detection & response activities utilizing S perform incident recovery and incident management to minimize impact of security breaches. Lead team efforts in security assessment, system hardening, penetration testing and vulnerability research to identify potential weaknesses before exploitation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams on cloud architecture security , network installation projects, disaster recovery planning, high availability configurations, and system hardening initiatives. Skills Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including routing protocols, network architecture design, LAN/WAN management, and network support functions. Proven experience with information security compliance programs aligned with standards. Strong understanding of IT risk management principles; skilled in conducting security risk assessments investigations using RMF methodology. Hands-on expertise with enterprise security tools including SIEM platforms (Splunk), firewall management (Cisco ASA), IAM solutions (LDAP, SSO), encryption technologies (PKI), and threat intelligence platforms. Experience managing and capable of leading security audits and ensuring continuous improvement in cybersecurity posture. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through complex projects involving system administration on operating systems. Carry out regularly scheduled security functions, such as network scans, vulnerability scans, and security-log reviews. (Pen Testing, etc.) Conduct assessments and audits to measure the efficiency of our compliance and security systems. Evaluate and document disaster recovery programs to ensure better response in cases of security incidents and breaches. $94,729.46 - $170,000.00 per year
