This position combines technical depth with leadership, overseeing security architecture, operational defenses, and long-term improvement initiatives across a complex environment. The role is well suited for an individual who can shape strategy, support team development, and remain actively involved in engineering and incident response work.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct the design and ongoing improvement of enterprise security solutions spanning network, endpoint, cloud, and application environments.
  • Establish and maintain the security engineering roadmap, technical standards, reference designs, and maturity goals for the broader cybersecurity program.
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to security engineers and analysts across multiple security disciplines.
  • Assess, implement, and optimize security platforms and tools while managing vendor relationships and technical performance expectations.
  • Lead identity and access security initiatives, including architecture planning, privileged access controls, conditional access approaches, and least-privilege enforcement.
  • Oversee the vulnerability management program by defining scanning methods, prioritizing remediation based on risk, tracking service levels, and coordinating penetration testing activities.
  • Act as a senior escalation resource during complex investigations and major security events, driving containment, recovery, and post-incident review efforts.
  • Advance detection engineering and threat hunting capabilities by incorporating intelligence insights into defensive monitoring and response strategies.
  • Develop, refine, and enforce cybersecurity policies, hardening baselines, and control requirements to improve enterprise-wide protection.
  • Communicate security risks, program progress, and incident status clearly to technical stakeholders and leadership teams.
