Job Description Senior Data Engineer Location:
Indianapolis, IN Work Arrangement:
Onsite, client facing Local candidates only Position Overview We are seeking a strong Senior Data Engineer to support a data and AI engagement with our client. The ideal candidate has deep hands on experience building data solutions on AWS and Databricks, along with the ability to understand business requirements, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to broader business opportunities. This role supports one of our client's business units, with potential for the engagement to expand. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and support scalable data pipelines on Databricks and AWS. Develop ETL/ELT solutions using Spark, PySpark, and SQL. Implement Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows. Work with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and IAM. Optimize pipeline performance, cost, and reliability. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Contribute to data architecture and solution design discussions. Communicate technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders. Identify opportunities where data and AI can address additional business needs. Contribute to the growth of the overall engagement. Requirements Required Qualifications Strong hands on data engineering background. Strong hands on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog). Strong hands on experience with AWS data services. Strong Python and SQL skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable working in a client facing environment. Must be local to Indianapolis, IN and able to work onsite. Preferred Experience Databricks certification NVIDIA or related AI and data ecosystem AI and modern data technologies Pharmaceutical or life sciences experience Prior experience in a large enterprise client environment Experience identifying additional technology or business opportunities Ideal Candidate More than a pure data engineer.
