Analytics Engineer II

Analytics Engineer II positions offered by WarnerMedia Services, LLC (Silver Spring,

Maryland). Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformation pipelines using

SQL and Python in cloud-based environments. Develop enterprise-level dashboards in Looker,

including App-level OKR reporting and experiment-level performance dashboards, with

advanced filter logic and parameterized views. Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines

from raw source tables to cleaned, transformed, and analytically aggregated datasets for

experimentation and product analytics. Optimize dashboard performance by improving query

efficiency, refining LookML models, and restructuring underlying data pipelines to reduce load

times. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define KPIs, ensure consistent metric

governance, and validate experiment instrumentation. Perform advanced SQL-based aggregation,

statistical analysis, and experiment result validation to support data-driven decisions.

Troubleshoot data discrepancies, manage production data workflows, and support persistent

derived tables (PDTs) and scheduled data refresh processes. Maintain technical documentation

for dashboard architecture, data modeling standards, and experimentation logic. Present

analytical findings and dashboard enhancements to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership

teams.

Requires a masters or foreign equivalent degree in business analytics, data science, or a

related field and 3 years of experience working with streaming platforms

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

o Working with large-scale data systems, experimentation frameworks, and

business intelligence solutions

o Performing complex queries, window functions, aggregations, and data

transformation logic using SQL and Python

o Working with Databricks and Snowflake

o Designing and optimizing data models for analytics and dashboard consumption

o Building and maintaining dashboards in Looker, including LookML development

and performance tuning

o Using A/B testing methodologies and performing experimentation lifecycle

management

Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

Position reports to Silver Spring, MD office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with

company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

roles in locations w legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors,

including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set,

experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros.

Discoverys total compensation package for employees.

Pay Range:

$115,333-$180,700

salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives,
