El Sol NEC's mission is for community members to reach personal empowerment to move towards self-sufficiency and contribute to their community's well-being. The Data Analyst serves as a key technical resource within the Evaluation & Capacity Development Department, supporting data-driven decision-making across programs and organizational initiatives. This position is responsible for designing data collection tools, building and maintaining high-quality datasets, and conducting descriptive and predictive analyses that inform evaluation activities, reporting, and strategic planning. The Data Analyst works closely with the Evaluation Specialist and Head of Evaluation to translate complex data into actionable insights, clear deliverables, and meaningful visualizations for internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Requirements 2+ years of related or equivalent work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field; or 4+ years of related or equivalent work experience with some college; minimum of 30-60 units. Bilingual (Spanish/ English; speak and write) preferred. Received clearance from FBI background check (Custodian of Records for DOJ). Qualifications Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, Stata, and/or similar). Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio. Demonstrated ability to clean, structure, and analyze datasets of varying size and complexity. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-technical audiences. Experience working in nonprofit, public health, education, or community-based settings. Knowledge of evaluation methodologies, logic models, or performance measurement frameworks. Familiarity with database management and data automation techniques. Experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap, SurveyMonkey). Ability to perform tasks related to physical activity to include sitting, standing, for long periods of time, caring, bending, moving, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
