Job Description We are seeking a Data Engineering Analyst to serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into detailed data specifications that support enterprise reporting, analytics, operational data products, and AI-driven initiatives. This individual will be responsible for performing comprehensive source system analysis and data profiling, gathering and validating data requirements, and creating detailed source-to-target mapping (STM) documentation that defines transformation rules, business logic, derivations, default values, lookup requirements, and data definitions. The Data Engineering Analyst will work closely with business partners, product owners, data engineers, architects, and reporting teams to document data lineage, define and validate business rules, identify data quality issues, and recommend remediation strategies. In addition, this role will support the development, testing, and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-based data solutions, leveraging SQL, BigQuery, and data integration technologies to enable batch and real-time data processing. The analyst will develop validation queries and testing scripts, validate data loads and transformations against business requirements, assist with root cause analysis and production support activities, and drive continuous improvements to data processes and reporting solutions. This position also plays a key role in data governance efforts by maintaining metadata, technical specifications, mapping documentation, and knowledge repositories, supporting data catalog initiatives, and ensuring compliance with data quality, security, governance, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, expertise in data mapping and data validation, excellent SQL skills, and the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality, trusted data assets across the organization. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
