This position will be responsible for collaborating with team members on key business projects, learning key skills for a career in data science, and become a contributing member to the team. You will leverage first and third party data to understand in-store and digital trends for how customers interact with our business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

processes in the real world Create code for the gathering, merging and aggregating of data Gain experience with fundamental exploratory data analysis and transformations using R and/or Python Build, evaluate, and iterate on models solving for initial business problem Create visualizations & present findings of work to the team Learn how to prepare reproducible, structured code for the entire data science pipeline

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Working towards BA/BS degree in a STEM field, with a graduate degree preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in writing SQL for SQL Server; Google BigQuery preferred Knowledge and experience of statistical software (R and/or Python) preferred Experience with reporting software (PowerBI, DataStudio) About Hy-Vee, Inc.
