Position reports to Paylocity headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. May telecommute 100% from a home office anywhere in the United States.

Rate of Pay:

$142,210

Duties:

Select features, build, and optimize models using machine learning techniques such as time series methods, regression, random forests, gradient boosting, and neural networks. Leverage cutting edge big data technologies on AWS and Microsoft Azure utilizing Databricks and Spark. Collaborate with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, Software Development Managers, and other leaders to translate complex human capital management challenges into data science projects. Create automated data and modeling pipelines and develop custom performance tracking. Work closely with full stack software engineers in an agile product development environment to deliver machine learning software features. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present results in a clear manner. Position reports to Paylocity Corporation headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. May telecommute 100% from a home office anywhere in the United States.

Requirements:

Employer will accept a bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a closely related quantitative field (willing to accept foreign educational equivalent) and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Data Scientist-related occupation with demonstrated data science success. Alternatively, employer will accept a master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a closely related quantitative field (willing to accept foreign educational equivalent) and no years of experience. Position requires demonstrable experience in the following: DE writing production grade machine learning models in Python. DE working with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP). DE leveraging data science to drive business results. DE translating business problems into data science problems and communicating the results to non-technical audiences Experience may be gained during a graduate program.
