Leidos seeks a Transportation Data Scientist to develop analytics solutions that improve mobility, safety, and infrastructure operations. In this role, you will design and implement data pipelines, apply statistical modeling and machine learning to traffic and transit data, and build dashboards that turn complex results into actionable insights for government and commercial clients. You will collaborate with engineers, software developers, and domain experts to support mission critical programs, validate and document models, and ensure data quality and security while contributing to a culture of innovation, integrity, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Design and implement data pipelines for transportation datasets Develop statistical and machine learning models for traffic and mobility analysis Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders Collaborate with engineers and software developers on transportation solutions Validate, test, and document models, methods, and assumptions Ensure data quality, governance, and security for sensitive transportation data Support mission-critical government and commercial transportation programs Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics tools and workflows Required Skills Python RSQLMachine learning Statistical modeling Data engineering and ETLData visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, or similar) Version control with Git
