Work Arrangement:
In-office with potential hybrid opportunities after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period as well as meeting performance and attendance expectations. Who We Are We are a growing Insurtech company specializing in workers' compensation cost containment, data analysis, and customized claim management solutions. Through proprietary technology, research, and disciplined processes, we help organizations identify opportunities, improve claim outcomes, and eliminate unnecessary workers' compensation costs. We are committed to innovation, exceptional service, and delivering results that exceed expectations. Just as importantly, we are committed to developing people. We believe strong teams are built by individuals who take pride in their work, remain curious, support one another, and understand that excellence is achieved through consistent attention to detail and purposeful action. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in doing things thoroughly and correctly . The ideal candidate is naturally meticulous, highly organized, intellectually curious, and comfortable working with detailed information. You should be someone who notices when something does not look right and takes the initiative to investigate rather than simply moving on. You do not need to know everything on day one. You do need to be enthusiastic about learning. We are looking for someone who asks thoughtful questions, takes notes, applies feedback, embraces unfamiliar assignments, and works toward becoming increasingly knowledgeable and self-sufficient. Cross-training is an important part of our environment. As our organization grows and evolves, our team members learn multiple processes and develop an understanding of how their individual responsibilities contribute to the larger operation. We also value people who bring a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset to their work. Challenges will arise. We want someone who approaches those challenges with professionalism, curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to help find the solution. What You Will Be Responsible For Responsibilities include: Supporting our team with workers' compensation claim inventories, documentation, and data. Reviewing claim information and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and inconsistencies. Performing accurate and timely data entry while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Proactively contacting employers, insurance carriers, brokers, and other stakeholders by telephone and email to secure necessary claim, policy, payroll, loss, and other required information. Following up consistently on outstanding requests and taking ownership of obtaining necessary information through resolution. Establishing and maintaining professional, productive relationships with employers, carriers, brokers, clients, and other external stakeholders to support effective communication, collaboration, and timely information exchange. Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams , recognizing that successful outcomes depend on clear communication, collaboration, reliability, and mutual accountability. Communicating statuses, outstanding information, discrepancies, and relevant updates clearly and professionally to internal and external stakeholders. Accurately documenting communications, information obtained, follow-up activity, and relevant findings within our internal systems. Reviewing information and data to identify discrepancies, missing documentation, or items requiring additional investigation. Managing multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment without sacrificing accuracy or quality. Following established procedures, workflows, documentation standards, and quality-control requirements. Participating in cross-training and developing proficiency across multiple processes and areas of responsibility. Taking ownership of assigned work from beginning to completion. What Success Looks Like Success in this role is about more than completing a checklist. It means understanding why the work matters and recognizing that accuracy, follow-through, communication, relationship-building, and attention to detail directly affect the quality of the service we provide. A successful Data Specialist consistently produces accurate work, catches details others might overlook, communicates effectively, follows through on outstanding items, and takes responsibility for resolving questions rather than simply passing them along. Success also means understanding that our work is highly collaborative. The ability to build trust and establish productive relationships with employers, carriers, brokers, clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders is essential. Strong relationships help facilitate communication, secure necessary information, resolve issues, and ultimately produce better outcomes. We value individuals who can receive constructive feedback, learn from mistakes, apply what they have learned, and continually strengthen their performance. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who develops the knowledge, judgment, relationships, and reliability necessary to be trusted with an assignment from beginning to end.
Required Qualifications Candidates should demonstrate:
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Confidence initiating outbound telephone and email communication with employers, insurance carriers, brokers, clients, and other business professionals. The ability to professionally request information, clarify discrepancies, and consistently follow up on outstanding items. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop productive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn proprietary software, systems, and new technology. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality. The ability to work independently after appropriate training. A willingness to ask questions, receive feedback, learn new processes, and accept unfamiliar assignments. Reliability, professionalism, accountability, and consistent follow-through. A collaborative, constructive, and solution-oriented approach to working with others. The ability and willingness to cross-train across multiple functions as organizational needs evolve. Preferred Experience Experience in workers' compensation, insurance, claims, risk management, data processing, document processing, data analysis, or a professional administrative environment is strongly preferred. Knowledge of workers' compensation policies, payroll, loss runs, experience modification worksheets, premiums, or related insurance documentation is particularly valuable. Relevant experience with data quality, data analysis, documentation review, or information verification is also preferred. Technical knowledge can be developed. Attention to detail, accountability, curiosity, professionalism, work ethic, relationship-building, and a genuine desire to learn are essential. Why Join Us? We believe careers should develop as people develop. Team members who demonstrate strong performance, initiative, reliability, curiosity, and the ability to master increasingly complex responsibilities may have opportunities to cross-train, expand their knowledge, and grow into additional areas of the organization. We are looking for more than someone to fill a position. We want someone who understands that exceptional work is built through purposeful, consistent effort and who wants to become extraordinarily good at what they do.
