Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Data Specialist to join our dynamic cafe team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial systems, and supporting seamless financial operations. Duties Process and verify billing transactions using various financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, and specialized billing systems Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with accuracy, ensuring timely collection and payment processing Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records in accordance with GAAP standards Analyze Excel data using formulas and data analysis techniques to identify discrepancies or trends in billing data Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries, collections accounts, and payment statuses via phone or email Conduct regular audits of billing data to ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal policies Support month-end closing activities by preparing detailed spreadsheets, reports, and analysis for management review Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on billing, accounts receivable, or collections management Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems; experience with financial software integration is a plus Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX compliance requirements, and technical accounting concepts Skilled in Excel data analysis, including the use of formulas, spreadsheets, account analysis, and reconciliation techniques Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry (including 10 key typing) and math skills Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; professional phone etiquette is essential Ability to perform analysis using Excel formulas and create comprehensive reports for management decision-making Familiarity with journal entries, debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation processes Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Billing Data Specialist - Cafe and become an integral part of our team dedicated to delivering precise financial operations while providing outstanding service.
