Job Description

Midwest Staffing Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Prepress Data Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and ensuring accuracy in production-ready files. Job Summary The VDP Prepress Data Specialist will analyze, manipulate, and process a variety of customer data to identify duplicate or incomplete information and help improve data quality. This position will also process and presort customer data and convert it into usable files for production and client analytics. Responsibilities Perform quality checks to ensure data integrity. Analyze and manipulate data using various software programs to create production-ready files and supporting documentation. Cleanse data by eliminating duplicates and identifying incomplete information. Provide recommendations to improve the quality of output data. Create data profiles and integrate information from different data systems as part of data merges. Communicate concerns or data issues promptly to the appropriate team members for follow-up. Complete miscellaneous projects and other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required. At least 2 years of work experience . Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and prioritize multiple tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite and ability to learn new programs quickly. Working knowledge of Excel and Access and other databases/data programs such as SQL. Ability to analyze PDF files for print production. Working knowledge of USPS requirements for postcards, letters, flats, and parcels. Experience with mail data software such as BCC is preferred. Skills & Abilities Highly organized and detail-oriented. Able to work independently and prioritize workload. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with regular interruptions. Able to adapt quickly to changing business needs. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to complete projects accurately while meeting deadlines and quality standards. Technically savvy and comfortable learning new software and systems. Strong attention to detail when reviewing data, reports, instructions, and print materials. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to perform repetitive computer-related tasks involving wrists, hands, and gripping. Strong visual acuity for computer use, reviewing detailed reports, print materials, and data. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Why Join Midwest Staffing Group?
