Records Specialist Registrar's Office Full-Time Primary Responsibilities Research and process outgoing official transcript requests Update student records with grade changes, Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) and exam scores Process permanent record updates (address, name change, citizenship, social security number) Evaluate college transcripts including domestic, military, and international transcripts Collaborate with academic departments regarding transfer equivalencies Build course articulations onto student's record Maintain data files in Ellucian Banner, Banner Document Management (BDM) and the Transfer Equivalency System (TES) Monitor multiple departmental email accounts Council and provide customer service to students, faculty, staff and the public via phone, email and walk-ins Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Registrar's Office and university policies and procedures Provide administrative support as needed to Assistant Registrar for Transfer Articulation High school diploma or GED Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access Demonstrated ability to learn different and new technologies Experience using email programs Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to handle difficult interactions with diplomacy, tact and in a confidential manner Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) Work history emphasizes an understanding of customer service and reflects an ability to work with high volume of telephone and customer contacts Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to make independent decisions with minimal supervision Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students and the public
