About the Role The Data Center Team Lead is responsible for providing hands-on technical leadership and day-to-day support for critical data center operations. This position leads and supports technicians while helping ensure the reliability, safety, and continuous operation of mission-critical building systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and critical facility systems with leadership experience in a fast-paced data center environment. Similar CBRE roles emphasize preventive and corrective maintenance, life-safety systems, emergency response, staff coordination, training, and client/vendor communication. What You'll Do Lead and support the daily activities of Data Center Technicians and critical facilities staff. Coordinate work schedules, assignments, and shift coverage. Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on critical facility systems. Monitor and support HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems . Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations while helping maintain data center uptime. Coordinate contractors and vendors performing work within the facility. Ensure work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and required documentation are completed accurately and on time. Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to team members. Support compliance with safety procedures, operating standards, and site requirements. Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, technicians, and management regarding operational issues and priorities. Help maintain a safe, organized, and reliable mission-critical environment.
