ZipStaff is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with deep, proven Oracle PL/SQL expertise who can be fully productive from day one . This is not a training role. We need an engineer who already writes high-quality PL/SQL at a senior level and can immediately contribute to design, development, performance tuning, and production support of data structures, business logic, and data pipelines. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and data pipelines Own features end-to-end — from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support Write clean, performant, testable, and maintainable PL/SQL code Tune queries and database logic for performance and scalability Perform unit and integration testing and participate in code reviews Work within Jenkins-based CI/CD processes Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently Collaborate with engineering leadership and help raise the technical bar on the team Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Strong, current, hands-on Oracle PL/SQL expertise (this is the core of the role) Ability to be fully productive on day one with advanced PL/SQL development and debugging 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant PL/SQL development Proven experience with query development, performance tuning, stored procedures, and packages Experience with CI tools (Jenkins strongly preferred) Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (unit testing, code reviews, version control) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Clear written and verbal communication Nice to Have Experience with SQL Server or MySQL in addition to Oracle Exposure to Spring Boot, .NET, or similar frameworks Agile/Scrum experience Background in healthcare, insurance, or data-intensive platforms Important Candidates who require ramp-up time on core PL/SQL concepts or who have only light/occasional PL/SQL experience will not be a fit.
