Job Description
Why This Job Matters Every AI data center being built right now runs hot. The racks of processors training and running AI models generate more heat than air alone can carry away, so these facilities depend on closed-loop liquid cooling — and every one of those loops needs an expansion tank to absorb the pressure changes as the coolant heats and cools. Inside those tanks is a rubber bladder. You'd be building it. Corry Rubber Corporation has been manufacturing high-quality expansion tank bladders for decades — for potable water, hydronic heating, and both ASME and non-ASME tank applications. That same product is now going into the infrastructure behind the AI buildout. It's a component that has to hold, because when it fails, the facility it's cooling goes down. This is skilled, hands-on craftsmanship with a direct line to one of the largest infrastructure expansions in the country. What You'll Do Cut materials. Use precision tools to cut calendered sheets of elastomer to exact blueprint specifications. We've recently added a new Eastman automated cutting machine, and you'll have the opportunity to train on it. Build bladders. Assemble components, adhere sheets, and cement flanges per blueprint — building seams that are stronger than the base material itself. Run the cure. Manage the autoclave curing process, bringing each bladder to the durability and performance standards the application demands. Prove it holds. Inflate with air and perform rigorous leak testing. Clean, box, and certify each unit with documented test results, seam bonding quality, and QA traceability. What You Bring High school diploma Ninth-grade level mathematics and reading comprehension Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately Strong attention to detail and precision Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pride in producing a product that has to perform No prior rubber experience required — you'll train alongside experienced operators who've been building these for years.
