COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$22-$25 per hour 12-week assignment 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
ROLE IMPACT
The Records Coordinator supports accurate, compliant, and efficient municipal records administration. This role coordinates records management activities, public information requests, official meeting documentation, and specialized administrative functions while helping City departments comply with records policies and the Texas Public Information Act.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate records management activities, including document retention, destruction requests, off-site storage scheduling, and department training. Support open records and public information requests in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act and applicable records management policies. Prepare and maintain City Council, Commission, and Board agendas, minutes, legally required notices, historical records, applications, and related official documents. Provide specialized administrative support, including preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining databases and confidential records, processing documents, and researching and compiling data. Respond to internal and public inquiries, explain applicable policies and procedures, assist with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) permit activities, and resolve or route requests appropriately.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Two years of progressively responsible administrative support experience. Experience preparing and proofreading business documents, maintaining records, using computer software applications, and communicating effectively with internal staff and the public.

Records management and document retention systems Microsoft Office or comparable office productivity software Electronic databases and filing systems Agenda, meeting minutes, and public records documentation Records retention and off-site storage processes
PREFERRED SKILLS
Knowledge of the Texas Public Information Act, records management requirements, and municipal administrative procedures. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion. Experience prioritizing multiple assignments, researching information, and preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
