Job Description

Reports to: Director of Technical Operations About the Company Atomic-6 manufactures advanced composites for space, air, sea, and ground systems. We exist to put high-performance composites into extreme environments faster than conventional processes allow—higher fiber content, lower voids, shorter cycles, hardware that is lighter and stronger than the standard. Come build what must survive ocean to orbit and see your work perform in the field. Role and Responsibilities The IT Manager is the owner of Atomic-6 information systems across both plants. The role administers Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 GCC High, Exchange, identity, and endpoint management; remotely administers on-premises network hardware; supports C-suite devices used at home and on travel; and keeps plant PCs and process equipment on the company network. Automation engineers own process equipment control systems. This role owns the network path to that equipment, not the equipment itself. There are no direct reports at hire.
Primary duties include:
  • Administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 GCC High tenants: identity (Entra ID), Exchange / Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, licensing, Conditional Access, and related services.
  • Operate commercial Azure resources used for non-export-controlled workloads and keep GCC High isolated from those workloads.
  • Manage on-premises network hardware that can be administered remotely, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points at both plants.
  • Build and maintain plant and office networks so users and process equipment have reliable, segmented connectivity. Coordinate with automation engineers on addressing, VLANs, and firewall rules; do not program or maintain the process equipment.
  • Own the company PC and laptop fleet: imaging, Intune or equivalent enrollment, patching, encryption, and replacement.
  • Provide IT support for C-suite devices used at home and on travel: laptops, phones, connectivity, MFA, and secure access to company systems.
  • Administer accounts, groups, and access reviews consistent with least privilege and export-control requirements.
  • Maintain backups, identity logging, and a documented recovery path for identity, email, and core network services.
  • Select and manage U.S.-owned IT vendors and managed-service providers as needed; retain technical ownership of the environment.
  • Respond to incidents affecting email, identity, network, or plant connectivity; restore service and record the cause.
  • Travel between Wildlight and Kennesaw as required for hardware installs, plant network work, and executive support.
  • Maintain company IT compliance such as
CMMC 2.0
Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum qualifications required for eligibility for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • 5+ years administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including identity and Exchange.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 GCC High or Azure Government (not commercial Azure only).
  • Demonstrated experience administering routers, firewalls, and wireless access points, including remote management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Windows endpoints (Intune, Autopilot, or equivalent).
  • Ability to support executives on travel and at home without a service desk sitting behind the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small, dynamic team environment with minimal oversight.
  • Eligibility to access technology subject to U.S. export controls (EAR/ITAR); U.S. person status as defined in applicable regulations. GCC High administration requires U.S. persons. Preferred Skills and Experience The following are used as discriminators for candidates that exceed the basic qualifications above.
  • Microsoft certifications (SC-300, AZ-104, MS-102, or equivalent).
  • Direct experience operating a GCC High tenant used for CUI or ITAR technical data.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC control families that apply to identity, email, and endpoint management.
  • Experience segmenting OT / process-equipment networks from IT networks in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, or equivalent GCC High security tooling.
  • Prior support of a two-site or multi-site environment.
Additional Requirements Ability to work flexible hours on-site at Wildlight to support production, executive travel, and after-hours incidents. Regular travel to the Kennesaw, Georgia plant is required. After-hours response for identity, email, or plant-network outages is required. Compensation and Benefits Compensation will vary based on demonstrated proficiency in skills, professional experience, and education.
Benefits include:
  • Flexible working hours
Holidays:
9 federal holidays (New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day)
    Health Insurance:
You are entitled to voluntarily participate in medical, vision, and dental coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
      Stock Incentive:
Company stock incentive plan is available.
        Bonuses:
Annual bonuses and performance-based bonuses are discretionary. Eligibility Requirements Atomic-6 is an equal opportunity employer.
