About the Role We're looking for our first in-house IT leader to own technology across the business, starting with our upgrade from Epicor 10.2 to Epicor Kinetic, with go-live planned for spring 2027. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll lead the Kinetic upgrade, hold our managed services provider (MSP) accountable for day-to-day support, and build the technology strategy that carries us forward. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set direction and manage vendors, and you'll also write the BAQ, fix the BPM, or clean up the data when the moment calls for it. You'll work directly with leaders in operations, production, purchasing, quality, and sales, and we expect you to be a regular presence on the plant floor as well as in the office. This is a full-time, on-site position in Port Huron, MI. In your first year, you'll step in as internal lead on the Kinetic upgrade and drive data cleanup ahead of migration (first 90 days); lead go-live, stabilization, and the start of formal data governance (months 4 to 6); and deliver an MSP assessment, a formal cybersecurity program, a multi-year IT roadmap, and our approach to AI (months 6 to 12). Partner with Finance and Operations to make sure Epicor data supports accurate costing, inventory, and reporting. Managed IT provider oversight Own the relationship with our MSP, including SLAs, performance reporting, escalations, and regular service reviews. Be technical enough to evaluate their work, challenge their recommendations, and hold them accountable for results. Assess the long-term fit of our current support model and recommend whether to stay the course, renegotiate, change providers, or adopt a hybrid approach, with an execution plan if change is warranted. Cybersecurity and risk Own our cybersecurity program, including MFA, endpoint protection, backup and recovery testing, patching, and user awareness training. Work with our cyber insurer and MSP to meet coverage requirements and close gaps. Develop and maintain IT policies, including acceptable use, access control, and incident response. IT strategy and AI Build and maintain a two-to-three-year IT roadmap and annual budget tied to business priorities. Lead our approach to
