Production Automation Corporation (PAC) is looking for an experienced IT Manager/Systems Administrator to oversee our IT infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity, and technology improvement initiatives across our North American operations. PAC is an international distributor of technical products and solutions serving industries that include electronics and medical device manufacturing, aerospace and defense, pharmaceutical processing, and healthcare. Key Responsibilities Systems Administration & Infrastructure Oversee and continually improve our hybrid on-premises and cloud IT environment, including Microsoft servers, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoints, networks, and related infrastructure. Manage our external IT service providers responsible for server infrastructure and related services, ensuring performance, security, reliability, documentation, and accountability. Maintain reliable business systems, network connectivity, internet failover, and secure remote access across company locations. Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes, ensure recovery capabilities are regularly tested, and maintain documented procedures to minimize business disruption. Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning and revoking system access and coordinating equipment assignment and recovery. Ensure IT documentation, system configurations, procedures, and user instructions are accurate, accessible, and maintained. Business Applications & IT Support Management Oversee the administration, support, and ongoing improvement of key business applications, including SAP Business One, SugarCRM, and Microsoft 365. Provide direction, performance oversight, and support to existing IT team members, including the help desk and SAP Business One administration functions. Work with department leaders to improve application workflows, system integrations, data quality, reporting, and business process automation. Cybersecurity & Compliance Own and continually improve PAC's overall security posture, including multifactor authentication, endpoint protection, patch management, email security, identity and access management, and secure remote access. Oversee the company's Microsoft 365 Government enclave and CMMC-related security and compliance requirements, coordinating with external CMMC consultants and other specialists as needed. Maintain documented incident-response and disaster-recovery procedures and ensure they are periodically tested. Oversee security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and appropriate dark-web or compromised-credential monitoring. Establish practical security awareness training and credential-management practices that protect company information and remain effective as employees and responsibilities change. IT Strategy & Vendor Management Serve as PAC's primary internal owner for IT operations, technology decisions, project priorities, and escalations. Manage managed service providers, technology vendors, specialized consultants, internet and telecom carriers, business phone systems, contracts, service expectations, and escalations. Evaluate technology needs, recommend cost-effective solutions, and manage implementations from planning through rollout. Maintain company ownership and control of data, administrator accounts, licenses, system documentation, and vendor access. Automation & AI Enablement Identify practical opportunities to use automation and AI to reduce manual work, improve reporting, and streamline business processes. Evaluate and pilot AI tools that offer measurable value to employees and the business. Establish sensible AI usage and data-protection guidelines to help employees use new tools without exposing confidential company or customer information. Help employees understand new capabilities through training, guidance, and documented best practices. What Success Looks Like in Your First 12 Months A documented, prioritized IT improvement roadmap is in place, with meaningful progress on core infrastructure, reliability, and security. PAC has adopted practical AI usage and data-protection guidelines, employees understand them, and at least one useful automation or AI improvement has been implemented. Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science or Information Technology) At least five years of experience in systems administration, IT operations, IT management, or a comparable technical role. Minimum of 3 years in Microsoft Server, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 Suite of Applications. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management, security controls, patching, backups, and disaster recovery. Experience managing service providers, consultants, or technology projects, with the ability to establish priorities and hold others accountable for results. Familiarity with ERP systems and SQL Server; experience with SAP Business One is strongly preferred. A security-conscious, service-oriented mindset and the ability to balance practical business needs with sound IT practices. Work Arrangement & Other Requirements PAC prefers candidates located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area who can work with local teams as business needs require. Occasional work outside normal business hours may be necessary for planned upgrades, maintenance, or urgent issues. Occasional business travel may also be required.
