Van Wert, Ohio Summary of Responsibilities The Senior IT Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all IT and Information Systems (IS) functions at the site level. This role ensures alignment between local operational priorities and enterprise-wide technology standards, policies, and initiatives. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), the Senior IT Manager plays a critical role in driving business growth, operational efficiency, cybersecurity resilience, and profitability through strategic technology leadership. Summary of Activities Responsibilities Activities Partner with business leaders to identify and implement technology solutions that drive competitive advantage, enhance customer experience, and improve operational performance.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to understand business challenges and opportunities.
  • Analyze current workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies or gaps.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies that align with business goals.
  • Develop business cases for proposed IT solutions, including ROI and impact analysis. Align local IT strategy with the parent company's enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Review and interpret corporate IT architecture guidelines and standards.
  • Map local systems and infrastructure to enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Identify gaps between site-level systems and enterprise platforms and develop remediation plans.
  • Implement corporate cybersecurity protocols, including access controls, threat detection, and incident response. Manage division-specific IT projects and implementations. Coordinate with vendors and IT service providers.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Estimate costs and allocate budgets for hardware, software, and personnel.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and contingency planning. Provide technical leadership to IT support teams. Oversee divisional IS tools, databases, and software solutions.
  • Offer hands-on support and coaching to IT support staff on troubleshooting and system maintenance.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of recurring problems.
  • Develop and refine support procedures to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction. Analyze divisional processes and recommend IS solutions to improve productivity. Ensure proper data management, reporting, and system security.
  • Monitor implemented solutions for effectiveness and adjust based on performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies for future enhancements.
  • Evaluate IS tools and platforms that align with divisional needs and corporate standards.
Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience) Bachelor's degree in Business/Information/Computer Science technology or related fields. Minimum of 5 years experience in IT support at level I and II. Experience with enterprise systems, databases, and ERP platforms. Strong experience in IT & IS management. Advanced MSOffice skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Access Personality Traits / Core Skills Strategic thinker with a business-first mindset. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and solutions. Strong problem solving and root cause analysis Strong project management and organizational abilities. Exceptional communication, organization, productivity and time management skills to work with other departments and vendors to gather information and provide solutions for improvement opportunities.
