Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029. Rivian's Internship Program requires active student enrollment. Information regarding your expected degree completion date is collected solely to verify eligibility and determine your availability for future full-time opportunities. Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and does not use graduation dates to determine the age of applicants or as a basis for discriminatory hiring decisions. If you are not pursuing a degree, please see our full time positions on our Rivian careers site. Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements. No Visa Sponsorship On the Field Service Programs & Applied Intelligence team, you will help improve how Rivian plans, delivers, and scales service for our customers. Support initiatives across the team by maintaining project plans, tracking milestones and dependencies, coordinating action items, and preparing stakeholder updates. Gather feedback from field teams, map workflows, and analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, understand root causes, and recommend improvements. Develop and test practical deliverables such as dashboards, process guides, training resources, prototypes, or workflow automation based on your project's needs. Collaborate with Field Operations, Digital Technology, Engineering, and other partners to evaluate solutions, support pilots, and help teams adopt new tools and processes. Document your methods and results, communicate progress, and present capstone outcomes and recommendations to leadership at the end of the term. Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, Master's, or PhD program in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field Hands-on academic or project experience using spreadsheets to organize and analyze data, and collaboration or presentation tools to plan work and communicate findings. Demonstrated practical problem-solving experience through coursework, research, student organizations, personal projects, employment, or prior internships. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to explain findings to technical and nontechnical audiences. Ability to manage priorities, seek feedback, and follow through on commitments while working with teammates from different disciplines. Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) on-site in San Jose, California for the full [X]-week internship or co-op program. Preferred Qualifications Prior internship, co-op, or substantial project experience in program management, product development, service operations, process improvement, analytics, or technology. Experience with one or more tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Jira, SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI. Familiarity with process mapping, continuous improvement, project planning, change management, or practical applications of AI and automation. Experience turning complex information or user feedback into clear recommendations, usable tools, or guidance for frontline teams. Interest in electric vehicles and improving the experience of customers, service advisors, technicians, and field leaders. #LI-[SAI7]
