Fetch Staffing Solutions is filling a Technical Project Manager on a contract to hire basis for a large nonprofit client based in midtown. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days / week in the office. Pay rate is $55-$60/hr DOE. Apply today for immediate consideration. Technical Project Manager This position will report to the Sr. Director Enterprise Technology and will serve as a force multiplier and traffic director of work coming into and deliverables from the IT team.. This role blends structured project delivery with strategic support to IT leadership, driving execution on technical initiatives while also managing the rhythm, priorities, and communication flow of the department. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and end-to-end delivery for IT. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will need to be able to execute multi-projects, plan team capacity against demand, and communicate with various levels within the organization include technical and business teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership. This is a high-visibility position for someone who is able to lead, direct, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. This role will help shape how the IT organization operates, communicates, and delivers. You will work closely with leadership and team members, gaining a broad exposure across the business and play a key role in scaling IT operations as the organization grows. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of systems and technology and able to understand the technical side and business side. The person in this role should be a self-starter that takes initiative and can lead on their own. You will serve as a trusted right-hand to the IT leader translating strategy into action and keeping cross-functional priorities aligned.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Intake:
Own and manage the IT intake and prioritization process, balancing new requests against team capacity. Informing stakeholder groups of the status of their requests. Leading requirements gathering and design sessions. Own and publish the IT roadmap on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Project Management:
Create and manage project timelines and allocation across concurrent initiatives. Raise blockers and issues early and often. Identify risks and dependencies early and drive mitigation plans. Provide status reporting to various levels within the organization. Lead all project meetings and drive projects through execution. Serve as central point of coordination across all IT functions.
Cross-Functional Influence:
Gain influence with stakeholders by understanding the disparate business requirements and helping the team to translate those into deliverable solutions. Participates in various internal forums to help identify any clear issues or limitations.
Lifecycle Management & Optimization:
Run IT leadership team cadences, including intake, triage and planning sessions. Set cadence of implementation methodology based on project type.
Budget Planning:
Help shape and track departmental OKRs, budget, and vendor/contract oversight.
Communication & Partnerships:
Have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate with any levels within the organization. Able to build relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders throughout the organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
Project Management Experience:
6+ years in technical project management, IT operations, or a similar hybrid role. Demonstrated experience managing complex, crossfunctional technology projects from intake through delivery. Extensive experience with various project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) and tracking, monitoring, and reporting tools (Smartsheet, Jira, Tableau)
Technical Proficiencies:
Deep understanding of enterprise IT systems and vendor/SaaS environments and a strong understanding of the integration layers between systems.
Key Systems:
Smartsheet, Salesforce, NetSuite, Concur, ADP, Microsoft365, Zendesk, Celigo. Understanding of basic system architecture and technology stacks.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communicationable to translate technical details for various audiences.
Strategic Thinking:
Ability to understand an overall strategy and help align deliveries with business goals.
Leadership:
Strong leadership capabilities, able to drive projects through execution, handle conflict, able to influence without direct management.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Tools:
Experience with MS Office 365, Smartsheet, Jira, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Tableau or Power
BI, MS 365
Copilot
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous roles in IT or Software Engineering such as System Administrator, Developer, Tech Lead, etc. a huge plus.
Certifications:
PMP, CSM, PMIACP, SAFe, Working knowledge of cloud platforms(MS Azure), AI technologies, Cybersecurity technologies Cybersecurity technologies
