Job:
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) manages and ensures the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects, establishes technical requirements for the project, defines project deliverables, budgets, and schedules, and oversees the project team in the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion. Projects are a set of related activities associated with the Line-Item Projects Project Controls program, and the candidate must have the ability to produce specific products or provide services to meet customer requirements. This role is responsible for cost analysis and control, and for planning and scheduling activities for projects or programs with significant non-routine requirements, or for discipline, project, program, or proposal cost and planning activities that require a high degree of technical skilled experience. In this role, you will: Support project scheduling using Primavera P6, including data quality checks, integration tasks, and schedule analysis Support project cost management using Cobra and EVMS processes Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business domains to align solutions with project objectives
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required if experience is a strong match Experience with Primavera P6 for project scheduling, including data quality checks, integration tasks, and schedule analysis Experience with Cobra and EVMS processes for project cost management Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analytics Demonstrated initiative and independence, with the ability to take a concept from idea to delivered product without heavy direction Strong communication skills across both technical and business contexts Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of project controls procedures, policies, and processes, and
DOE O 413.3B EVMS
requirements PMP or EVP certification, or both Familiarity with Power BI and Point Familiarity with Asset Suite Prior experience supporting DOE or NNSA project controls teams
Miscellaneous/Additional Information:
Work schedule: 4/10s, with occasional 5/8s as needed
Travel:
