At UCHC, this class is accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks in providing multimedia technology products, consultation, productions, and maintenance services utilizing all aspects of media arts.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the limited supervision of an employee of higher grade.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
May lead lower-level employees as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs all phases of multimedia production including photography, graphics, video and audio recording at local and remote sites, editing, duplication, producing, and directing performances for on camera presentation. Manages projects. Works with clients to develop ideas and techniques for effective multimedia presentations. Schedules production time and creates scripts. Tests and adjusts product. Maintains documentation regarding products and services provided. Provides day-to-day support for auditoria, classrooms, and conference rooms. Schedules and operates teleconferences and webcasts. Performs and/or coordinates routine and minor maintenance on all related multimedia equipment and software in the production facility. Prepares reports. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Knowledge of the various methods of effective media communication methods. Considerable knowledge of a variety of applicable software applications. Considerable interpersonal skills, record keeping skills. Creative skills and good understanding of technical integration processes Considerable skill in developing teleconference presentations and operating teleconference systems. Communication and presentation skills. Considerable organizational and project management skills ability to work within deadlines. Ability to analyze problems and suggest solutions. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
General Experience:
Five (5) years professional experience in one or more of the multimedia arts such as, videography, light design for video; digital video editing, motion graphics, DVD authoring, sound design and production, video design and production, teleconferencing, web design & development, 3D animation.
Substitutions Allowed:
An associate degree in a closely related field and three (3) years related professional experience in multimedia production may be substituted for the General Experience. A bachelor's degree in a closely related field and one (l) year professional experience in multimedia production may be substituted for the General Experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Incumbents in this class may be subject to heavy lifting and pushing equipment on carts.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents in this class may be required to travel within the State during the course of their daily work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, CapCut, Dropbox Sync and related software applications. Experience developing creative concepts for video production. Experience operating mirrorless and / or DSLR cameras and post-production software. Knowledge of lighting and audio recording techniques. Experience producing and editing video in multiple formats and aspect ratios
SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
