We're looking for a designer who can help us tell it beautifully, consistently, and at scale. The Role We're hiring a Multimedia Designer to bring Friendship Circle and our brands to life across social media, video, print, and digital. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who has a passion for creating and bringing big ideas to life. You'll report to the Director of Marketing and work across the various brands of Friendship Circle of Michigan. We are looking for someone who is able to design across channels using both Adobe Suite and Canva depending on the project. What You'll Do Design across channels. Create graphics for social media, email, web, event collateral, signage, and print using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Build for scale in Canva. Develop and maintain a library of on-brand, reusable Canva templates so program staff and enterprise teams can create consistent materials on their own. You'll be the person who turns one-off assets into repeatable systems. Turn art into product. Adapt original artwork from our Soul Studio artists into merchandise and retail products: prints, apparel, paper goods, and more in close collaboration with the studio team and always honoring the artists' work. Manage print production. Prepare print-ready files and work directly with professional printers and product vendors to produce both paper goods (cards, invitations, brochures, signage) and printed products (merchandise, apparel, packaging), owning specs and quality from proof to final piece. Protect the brand. Keep every asset consistent with brand guidelines across all Friendship Circle brands, and help evolve those standards as we grow. Event and brand photography. Cover programs and events with strong event photography, and produce clean, gallery-quality artwork photography of our Soul Studio artists' pieces for web, print, merchandise, and archives. Manage a growing library of visual assets. Work smart with AI. Stay on top of the latest AI tools and put them to work — speeding up production, generating and refining assets, and freeing up time for higher-value creative. We want someone excited to be the most efficient person in the room. Collaborate and ship. Work closely with the marketing team to turn briefs into finished work on deadline, and juggle multiple projects across brands. What You'll Bring Required 4+ years of professional experience in graphic design and video editing (in-house, agency, or freelance). Strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Hands-on Canva experience and genuine interest in building templated, repeatable systems for a non-designer team.

Print-production know-how:

preparing files to spec (bleed, color, resolution) and coordinating with commercial printers and product/merchandise vendors to get jobs made right. Photography experience, both event coverage and clean product/artwork shots. A portfolio and video reel that show range across both design and motion. Strong eye for typography, layout, and brand consistency, and the ability to take feedback and iterate. Organized and reliable with deadlines and multiple concurrent projects. Nice to Have Video editing and production — a mix of short-form content for social and more produced pieces like event recaps, testimonials, and brand films (Premiere Pro and/or After Effects). Experience designing for nonprofits, food/hospitality, or multi-brand environments. Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, film, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience. Fluency with current AI creative tools (or a clear track record of quickly adopting new tools) to work faster and smarter.

Full-time. Some evening or weekend availability for events (including our annual Walk4Friendship).
