Build presentations that are easy to follow, and break down complex information in a way that is engaging. Design materials for career fairs, including fun handouts that get college students excited to come interview with us. Use our established Adobe InDesign templates to lay out audit reports with clarity and consistency. Take and edit professional headshots and other staff photography. Work with our communications team to turn government information into visuals anyone can understand.
Bottom line:
if it involves design, visuals, or multimedia, you'll help make it clear, accurate, and engaging. Why You'll Love Working Here Flexible environment: Opportunity to work remotely for part of the week after successful completion of 6-to-12-month probation period.

Exceptional benefits:
As part of the state, you'll have fully paid family health insurance, retirement, vacation, and sick leave benefits, as well as additional training and bonus opportunities.

Minimal travel:
Most of the work happens right here in Bismarck, with very limited travel throughout the year.
Family-first culture:
We genuinely mean it. If something important comes up, just communicate with us, we're flexible. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is competent, humble, and genuinely values people and relationships. Skills can be developed, but being a good teammate, treating others with respect, and contributing to a positive workplace matters just as much to us. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in graphic design, Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Production, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign. Ability to communicate clearly through visuals, writing, and oral communication. Comfortable working in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Successful completion of reference, background, and criminal record checks. Preferred Qualifications Experience creating social media graphics or templates. Familiarity with professional writing.
