Motion design. Feature film VFX. 3D. National brands. And no commute into Manhattan. Platinum Platypus is looking for a Junior / Mid-Level Motion Designer + Compositor to join our studio in Huntington, Long Island. We're a small creative studio, but the work isn't small. Our artists create work for brands including Tiffany & Co., Nike, Canada Goose, Lacoste and Oakley , along with VFX and production work for feature films and projects for companies including Paramount, Netflix and Amazon . One week you might be animating a national brand spot. The next you could be compositing a VFX shot for a feature film, working on a 3D product animation, or experimenting with the latest AI production tools. You'll work directly with experienced artists and creative directors and have the opportunity to grow into 3D, VFX, compositing and other areas that interest you.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

After Effects experience is a must. You should already be comfortable working in After Effects and have a strong sense of motion, timing, composition and design. We're looking for someone who can take direction, work through a shot or animation, solve problems and contribute creatively. Cinema 4D experience is a big plus. You don't need to be an expert 3D artist. If you know your way around C4D and want to get much better at it, we'd like to hear from you. Experience with any of the following is also a plus: Cinema 4D Redshift Photoshop and Illustrator Premiere Pro Compositing and VFX Editing and finishing AI image and video production tools

ÉSUMÉ. We're looking for someone early in their motion design career who's ready for the next step. Maybe you've spent your first couple of years at an agency, in-house creative department or small studio. Or maybe you're a talented designer with a great reel who's looking for an opportunity to work on bigger and more varied projects. We're not looking for 8-10 years of experience. We're looking for talent, taste, curiosity and potential. We're a small studio, which means you'll get hands-on experience and work directly alongside people who have been doing this professionally for years. No layers of management. No getting stuck doing the same thing every day. Just good work, interesting projects and a chance to grow.

LOCATION

This is a full-time, in-studio position in Huntington, Long Island, NY. If you live on Long Island and you're currently spending hours every week commuting into Manhattan, this might be exactly what you've been looking for. Do great creative work. Then go home.

COMPENSATION

$50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience and skill level.
