Job Description

$35/hr on W2 Core responsibilities:
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, wireless controllers/APs, load balancers, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network monitoring tools.
  • Analyze capacity, latency, availability, utilization, segmentation, and resiliency requirements.
  • Support incidents, changes, network upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and major event readiness.
  • Document network designs, standards, diagrams, configurations, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, telecom, cloud, application, and vendor teams to resolve cross-domain issues.
Level expectations:
  • Independently resolves common incidents and service requests, supports standard changes, validates knowledge articles, and coordinates with adjacent teams or vendors for medium-complexity work.
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role.
  • Strong understanding of
TCP/IP, OSI
Model, subnetting, routing, and switching.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Experience with OSPF, BGP, VLAN, STP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts, including ACLs and firewalls.
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues using tools such as Wireshark, ping, traceroute, and nslookup.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN and wireless networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
