The Warehouse Process Engineer will support the Warehouse department reorganize over 80,000+ unique parts to maximize efficiency and support the low-volume high-mix production schedule. The Warehouse engineer will be cross trained to perform various tasks in Purchasing, Receiving, and Kitting and Inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support de-trashing of stored material and material handling Usage reports on lower level parts Material handling and space efficient packaging methods Understanding of proper material handling practices Supply chain coordination on packaging and sample sizing Prepare Inventory analysis Identify and sort slow moving inventory and high usage inventory Support accurate inventory traceability by cycle counting and part tracking Support the improvement of floor stock Program Support implementation of material barcoding system Conduct wall to wall inventory checks / inventory audits Other projects based on management discussion, data analysis, and identified opportunities Support the improvement of kitting process efficiency by analyzing workflows and identifying areas for enhancement Report daily activities to responsible supervisor Ensure all work processes meet safety standards and address any safety concerns
COMPETENCIES
Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Ability to create effective solutions for a wide range of challenges Strong analytical skills to interpret data, create reports, and provide insights to decision-makers. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and supply chain management. Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. Proficient in using presentation software to communicate complex information to management Education and/or
Experience:
BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing systems engineering or similar).
