Network Engineer Cisco Enterprise Network Environment Canton, GA | Onsite | Flexible Hours $95k+, depending on experience Our client, an established global manufacturer serving the aerospace industry, is seeking a practical Network Engineer to support and improve its infrastructure environment in Canton, GA. This role is a strong fit for someone with solid Cisco networking experience and a broader infrastructure background. The Network Engineer will work across network, systems, security, and cloud environments while taking ownership of complex technical issues. This person will also support infrastructure improvements and serve as a senior technical resource for the IT team. Responsibilities Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks. Support secure access, routing, network tunnels, and segmentation. Monitor network performance and resolve complex connectivity issues. Support Windows networking and systems technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Maintain servers, storage, virtual environments, backups, and disaster recovery processes. Assist with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration. Serve as a Tier 3 escalation resource for complex infrastructure issues. Support infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and technical projects. Maintain network documentation and operating procedures. Participate in occasional maintenance outside normal business hours. Qualifications 5+ years of network or infrastructure experience. Strong Cisco networking experience with routers, switches, firewalls, routing, and secure connectivity. 3+ years of experience supporting systems administration, virtualization, or disaster recovery. Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows environments. Familiarity with servers, storage, backups, and virtual infrastructure. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365. Azure exposure is preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills across both network and systems environments. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Clear communication skills with both technical and nontechnical users. Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant professional experience and current networking certifications may be considered in place of a degree. CCNA, CCNP, or Microsoft infrastructure certifications are preferred. Work Environment & Benefits This is a full-time, onsite position in Canton, GA that supports a highly technical manufacturing operation with a global customer base. The schedule is primarily first shift with some flexibility, and occasional evening or weekend work may be required for planned maintenance or urgent support.
