$70,000 - $75,000 / year (Based on experience) Job Summary We are a Managed Services Provider (MSP) seeking a hands-on Network & Systems Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will deliver on-site client infrastructure support and implement pre-planned cloud migration projects, transitioning local environments into Microsoft Azure and Entra ID . You will be responsible for supporting physical and virtual on-premise Windows Servers, SonicWall firewalls , and Ubiquiti UniFi network hardware across client sites. Work and migration projects are scheduled during regular business hours. Candidates must be comfortable with local client travel, occasional out-of-state project travel, and availability for emergency technical escalations outside normal business hours when critical outages arise. Key Responsibilities Cloud Projects & On-Premise Server Engineering Implement pre-planned migration tasks moving local client servers, files, and endpoints to Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Intune . Perform endpoint provisioning, join devices to Entra ID, and apply Intune device configurations. Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing client on-premise hardware and infrastructure (Windows Server 2016-2022, Active Directory, Hyper-V, DNS/DHCP) until cloud migrations are complete. Safely decommission retired physical domain controllers and local server equipment post-migration. Networking & Field Operations Deploy, configure, and maintain SonicWall firewalls (VPNs, NAT rules, access rules, security services). Manage and expand Ubiquiti UniFi network hardware (Switches, Access Points, VLAN segmentation, UniFi Controller setup) across client facilities. Handle Tier 2 technical escalations and resolve physical and logical networking issues (subnets, VLAN tagging, cabling, DNS routing).

Qualifications & Technical Skills Requirements Work Arrangement & Travel Flexibility:

Based on-site at our main office and regional client facilities. Willingness and ability to drive regionally (including NJ and PA) for on-site client deployments and support (valid driver's license required). Flexibility for occasional out-of-state travel by car or air (e.g., Kansas or other client sites) as project deployments or client needs arise.

Active Directory & Server OS:

2-4 years managing Windows Server, Active Directory DS, Group Policy (GPOs), and Hyper-V/VMware. Microsoft Azure & M365: Practical experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint Online, and basic Intune policy deployment.

SonicWall:

Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining SonicWall firewalls and client VPNs.

Ubiquiti UniFi:

Experience deploying and supporting UniFi access points, switches, and network profiles.

Networking Foundations:

Solid understanding of

TCP/IP, VLAN

tagging, subnets, and DNS routing.

Schedule & Availability:

Primary hours are standard weekday business hours, with flexibility to respond to rare emergency technical issues after hours or on weekends.

MSP Experience:

2+ years working in an MSP or multi-tenant IT environment preferred.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
