TECHNOLOGY SERVICES COMPONENT

TECHNOLOGY SERVICESFLSA STATUS
NON-EXEMPT GOAL:
Provide excellent technical support to all internal and external customers for Region and School districts. Stay proactive with backups, updates and monitoring all LAN/WAN devices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree and/or training in technology with emphasis on network configurations. Knowledge and Skills of use of Routing technology. Experience in managing and monitoring
WAN, LAN
networks. Educational technology experience preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
Provide technical support to all internal and external customers for Region and school districts. Provide assistance to Contracted Network Services for ISDs. Maintain configurations, backups and keep software up to date on all LAN devices, including wireless controller,routers, switches, web filters and firewall Monitor all LAN and WAN devices. Server - Virtual skills- Work alongside Network Systems Coordinator, Network Systems Lead and other internal personnel to keep projects running smoothly and efficiently while meeting deadlines and remaining within budgets. Internal Desktop, Printer and and Room Support Evaluate the extent to which project objectives have been met to determine future direction. And other responsibilities as assigned. Communication Skills Demonstrates good communication techniques and utilizes proper communication channels with clients. Effectively disseminates technology related information to groups or individuals. Demonstrates leadership in the infusion of technology on the ISD administrative levels. Consultative and Technical Assistance Demonstrates accessibility through periodic contacts with internal staff and LEAs. Responds to internal staff and LEA's request for assistance through workshops and other services including follow-up services and training. Plans and provides training in current educational practices or skills related to video technology. Assists internal staff and school districts in implementation of technology Assists Center in the ongoing implementation and updating of their comprehensive video conferencing network. Assists staff in the evaluation, acquisition, utilization and maintenance of network equipment. Human Relations Demonstrates professional courtesy during personal interaction with LEA and Center staff. Displays an attitude of personal and professional concern in group and individual settings. Specialized KnowledgePersonal and Professional ImageRequired Training for Continued Employment Consideration Seeks training in professional areas and provides up-to-date information in areas of responsibilities. Recommends and prepares effective inservice and instructional resources for staff and clients. Maintains self-control and good working relations with other staff or LEA personnel when facing problems and frustrations. Exhibits enthusiasm, self motivation and physical appearance toward fulfilling job assignment requirements. New Employee Orientation Training Attend program training and informational update 12 Hours of CTS Director approved training as needed.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
