Job Description
Job Description Insight Global seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to design, automate, and optimize enterprise-wide configuration, patch management, and network deployment processes. This role will focus on reducing manual effort through automation, scripting, and orchestration tools while improving the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of configuration changes across large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate has experience building automation workflows, developing Ansible playbooks, and deploying configuration changes across network and security infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain automated solutions for configuration management, patch deployment, and system updates across the enterprise.
Create and manage Ansible playbooks to orchestrate complex workflows and automate repetitive operational tasks.
Design automation sequences that leverage outputs from one script or process to trigger and execute subsequent tasks.
Implement overnight and unattended automation processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Automate deployment of network configuration changes, including firewall policies, security rules, and infrastructure updates across enterprise environments.
Build and maintain scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to support automation initiatives.
Test, validate, and deploy automated solutions to ensure reliability, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Collaborate with network, systems, and cybersecurity teams to streamline configuration and change management processes.
Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
Support enterprise change management initiatives by ensuring configuration changes are consistently and accurately deployed.
