Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive our enterprise Linux infrastructure, automation initiatives, and strategic platform projects. In this role, you will work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Application teams to deliver highly reliable, secure, and fully automated solutions across a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities Linux Platform Administration:

Design, deploy, and support enterprise Linux environments centered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) . Build, maintain, and enhance standardized RHEL Gold Images while leading OS upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.

Red Hat Satellite Management:

Administer Red Hat Satellite infrastructure, managing server provisioning, software repositories, content views, and host lifecycle management.

Automation & Configuration Management:

Spearhead automation initiatives using Ansible , developing playbooks, roles, and frameworks to streamline server provisioning, compliance validation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

Scripting & Custom Packaging:

Write robust automation scripts in Bash, Shell, or Python to optimize operational workflows. Create, maintain, and deploy custom RPM packages to support enterprise applications.

Project Delivery:

Lead infrastructure modernization efforts, platform upgrades, data center migrations, and hybrid cloud integrations. Required Qualifications 7+ years of dedicated enterprise Linux administration experience. Extensive hands-on expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) , RHEL Gold Image creation, and lifecycle management. Proven experience administering Red Hat Satellite in large-scale environments. Advanced, practical experience with Ansible Automation Platform . Strong scripting skills using Bash, Shell, or Python . Experience creating, maintaining, and deploying custom RPM packages. Exceptional troubleshooting, performance tuning, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure . Knowledge of Terraform and advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. Familiarity with VMware virtualization and CI/CD pipelines/DevOps methodologies. Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) .
