Job Description We are looking for a skilled and experienced Alteryx Platform Administrator to join our team! As part of the data engineering group, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the Alteryx platform, while driving scalable and efficient data workflows across the organization. Requirements 3-5 years' hands-on experience administering Alteryx Server/Designer in production, including installation, configuration, setup, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of Alteryx Server architecture , including Gallery, Controller, Worker, and Database components. Experience managing users, roles, Collections, Studio permissions, Active Directory/LDAP , and access controls. Experience with workflow scheduling, job queues, prioritization , and deployment/migration of workflows, macros, and Analytic Apps. Expertise in server monitoring, log analysis, diagnostics, performance tuning, and capacity planning . Working knowledge of SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle , or similar databases integrated with Alteryx. Hands-on experience with upgrades, patching, version management , compatibility checks, backup/rollback, and post-upgrade validation. Knowledge of backup and recovery for Alteryx Server assets and configurations. Experience providing L1-L3 production support , including incident triage, RCA, troubleshooting, and advanced workflow debugging. Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM , managing incidents end-to-end and meeting SLAs. Willing to work night shifts aligned to US business hours . Excellent client-facing communication, professional attitude, and stakeholder-management skills are mandatory , with confidence to communicate issues, RCA, risks, remediation, and resolutions clearly and assertively. Familiarity with Alteryx licensing, Server APIs, usage/audit reporting, server hardening, SSL certificates, and security best practices ; able to work independently and manage priorities under pressure. Duties include performance monitoring, backup and recovery, user access management, workflow scheduling, platform upgrades, and providing multi-level technical support. Responsibilities Administer and maintain the data integration platform ensuring high availability and optimized performance across on-premises and cloud. Implement and manage backup, restore, and archival processes suitable for hybrid environments. Monitor platform health, analyze metrics, and execute capacity planning and resource optimization. Manage workflow/job scheduling and orchestration for efficient execution. Perform platform upgrades, patching, and version control with minimal downtime. Configure and maintain user roles, permissions, and access controls securely. Provide multi-level technical support, addressing issues from basic monitoring to complex troubleshooting. Support the deployment and migration of workflows and related components. Conduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements. Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, workflows, and incident logs. Generate reports on platform usage, performance, and user activity. Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams for platform integration and optimization.
