SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct, write and manage First Article Inspection reports to AS9102 standards. Conduct internal audits and write internal audit reports to

ISO 9001/AS9100

requirements. Read and interpret specifications and drawings (GD&T). Work with the 6S team to lead the 6S program and perform audits to measure and improve 6S performance. Work with supplier quality to improve supplier performance and clearly communicate expectations. Investigate, as a team member, quality issues determine root cause, and implementing effective corrective actions. Assist with configuration management of drawings and documents. Assist Quality Inspectors with approval of raw materials, in-process inspections and final product approval, using standard inspection tools. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

The Quality Assurance Specialist reports directly to the Director of Quality and collaborates closely with Leadership, Program Management, Business Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering departments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High school diploma.

Years of experience:

3+ years of relevant experience Experience with writing AS9102 First Article Inspection reports, and using Net-Inspect. Experience with

ISO9001 / AS9100

quality management systems, in a defense or aerospace-related manufacturing environment. Knowledge of AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning, (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Experience conducting internal audits and report writing. Accurate, precise, detail focused, and able to manage complex data. Configuration and Data Management oriented and able to implement internal and contractual quality requirements. Working knowledge of GD&T. Ability to collaborate with program cross-functional team members to apply effective solutions to problems. Data extraction and analysis skills. Strong written/verbal presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent Investigative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and organization. Accountability and capacity to drive for results and bring actions to closure in a timely manner. Excellent communication and reporting skills.

MANDATORY - US

citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holders) due to Government ITAR regulations.

DESIRABLE

Education:

Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science, or related field is preferred. Familiar with engineering documents, technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing related documents. Lead auditor (AS9100) certified. Practical experience of Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC, PPAP) and tools (e.g., ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, MSA, and FMEA).
