The technician operates a dealership mobile service vehicle, delivers a professional customer experience, and completes accurate repair documentation while following Ford procedures and dealership safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform approved mobile maintenance and repairs, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, batteries, filters, wipers, inspections, software updates, recalls, and other services appropriate for the mobile unit and technician qualifications. Diagnose customer concerns using approved Ford diagnostic tools and service information; identify work requiring an in-shop appointment and coordinate escalation. Complete vehicle inspections, document findings, obtain required authorizations through dealership processes, and communicate recommendations clearly to the service advisor or dispatcher. Accurately record labor time, mileage, parts usage, diagnostic results, recall completion, and repair details in dealership and Ford systems. Confirm parts, tools, supplies, and appointment details before departure; maintain mobile van inventory, equipment, cleanliness, and readiness. Follow Ford repair procedures, warranty policies, technical service bulletins, and quality-control requirements; verify repairs before leaving the site. Provide courteous on-site service, protect customer property, maintain confidentiality, and promptly report delays or customer concerns. Observe safe vehicle operation, parking, lifting, spill prevention, battery handling, and hazardous-waste disposal; stop work when conditions are unsafe. Coordinate daily routes and scheduling with service management, advisors, and dispatch to support productivity and on-time arrival. Minimum Qualifications Prior automotive technician experience with demonstrated maintenance and diagnostic capability; Ford dealership experience preferred. Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under dealership insurance requirements. Ability to use scan tools, electronic repair manuals, tablets, and dealership repair-order systems. Ability to work independently at customer sites, communicate professionally, and manage time and inventory responsibly. Ability to obtain and maintain Ford-required training and certifications for assigned work; ASE certifications preferred. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Frequent travel to customer locations in a dealership-provided mobile service vehicle; work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather. Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hand/power tools; ability to lift and move parts and equipment up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment for heavier items. Exposure to moving vehicles, noise, automotive fluids, and shop chemicals; use required personal protective equipment. Performance Expectations Safe, right-first-time repairs and compliance with Ford procedures. Accurate, timely repair orders and complete warranty/recall documentation. On-time appointments, productive route execution, van readiness, and positive customer feedback.

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
