This is a contract position with the opportunity for full time hire for the right person. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement robust IT solutions aligned with organizational needs, utilizing expertise in solution architecture and system design. Manage and optimize server environments, including Windows Server administration, Linux, VMware ESXi, and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and performance tuning. Oversee system administration tasks such as Active Directory management, storage management, backup and recovery processes, and configuration management to maintain system integrity. Support software deployment, troubleshooting, and administration for applications including Pegasystems, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, and RESTful APIs. Automate routine tasks through scripting languages like Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Python to improve efficiency across systems & applications support functions. Implement load balancing strategies using technologies such as Kubernetes and VMware to ensure optimal system performance under varying loads. Collaborate within Agile teams utilizing SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) principles for continuous improvement of infrastructure projects. Provide technical troubleshooting support for network issues involving computer networking protocols like DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and load balancing solutions. Requirements Proven experience with RAID controller management and storage solutions in enterprise environments. Strong background in service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design, and solution architecture principles. Hands-on experience with Pegasystems platform development or similar BPM (Business Process Management) tools is highly desirable. Expertise in system administration including Windows Server (Active Directory management), Linux/Unix systems, virtualization (VMware ESXi), and cloud services such as Azure. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Python for automation purposes. Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues quickly while maintaining clear documentation of procedures performed. Strong understanding of system tuning practices for operating systems and applications to maximize performance efficiency.
