Description:

Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer TEKsystems' client is seeking a Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer to join their Infrastructure team on a 6-month contract basis. This individual will support a Microsoft-centric environment while helping drive the organization's strategic migration from on-premises infrastructure into Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong Windows Systems Administration experience, a solid networking foundation, and experience supporting cloud technologies. This role is approximately 50% project work and 50% operational support , including escalated support tickets and infrastructure troubleshooting. Responsibilities Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Exchange Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments Assist with Azure cloud migration initiatives and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Manage endpoint technologies including Intune and security platforms Support LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure and application issues Support Ubiquiti/UniFi network infrastructure Assist with Zscaler administration and security initiatives Create and maintain technical documentation Participate in infrastructure modernization and scalability projects Serve as an escalation point for complex support issues Required Skills Windows Server Administration Active Directory PowerShell Azure Microsoft 365 Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis Networking Fundamentals Additional Qualifications 5+ years of Systems Administration experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working in fast-paced environments Ability to independently research and resolve unfamiliar technical issues Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments preferred Experience with Tanium is highly desired Experience with VMware, Intune, and Zscaler is a plus

Compensation Pay Rate:

$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
